This Privacy Policy describes how the game Flutter Up collects, uses, and protects user information. By using the application, you agree to the terms described here.

1. Information We Collect

The application may collect the following data:

Email address (optional) – voluntarily provided by the user at the end of a game session to submit their score to the public leaderboard. No email is collected if the user does not fill in the field.
Game score and result – submitted alongside the email address to record the player's best performance on the leaderboard.
Submission timestamp – the date and time of the leaderboard entry, recorded automatically by the server.
Android device identifier – a unique identifier generated by the Android operating system and associated with the app installation. This identifier is stored in our Firebase database solely to save and restore your stage progress across sessions and devices. It is not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Stage progress – the highest stage unlocked by the player, stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore linked to the device identifier above.
Usage and performance data – collected by Google AdMob to serve relevant advertisements.
Advertising device identifiers – used by Google AdMob for ad personalization and frequency control.
Sensor data – the device accelerometer is read locally to control the in-game character. This data is not transmitted to any server.

2. Use of Information

Collected information is used exclusively to:

Save and restore the player's stage progress across sessions (device identifier + stage).
Display the player's score on the public leaderboard (email + score + stage + date).
Ensure only one entry per email address, keeping only the highest stage and score.
Display advertisements within the application (Google AdMob).
Improve the user experience through aggregated and anonymous analytics.

No information is sold or shared with third parties beyond the partners listed in this policy.

3. Leaderboard and Public Data

The application offers an optional feature to submit your score to a global leaderboard. If you choose to participate, your email address and score will be publicly visible on the leaderboard page accessible at flutter-up-game.web.app/leaderboard.

Submission is entirely voluntary. Only one entry is stored per email address; if a higher score is achieved, the previous entry is overwritten rather than duplicated.

To request removal of your entry from the leaderboard, please contact us at the address listed in section 9.

4. Firebase and Cloud Firestore

Game data is stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore, a cloud database service operated by Google LLC. Two types of data are stored:

Stage progress – linked to an Android device identifier, used to restore the player's progress when the app is reopened.
Leaderboard entries – linked to a voluntarily provided email address, publicly visible on the leaderboard page.

Data is processed and stored in accordance with Firebase's Privacy and Security documentation and Google's Privacy Policy .

5. Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and process data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy . You may opt out of personalized ads in your Android device settings under Settings > Google > Ads.

6. Score Sharing

The application offers the option to share your score via external apps (such as social networks and messaging apps). Sharing is always initiated by the user and no data is transmitted without your explicit action.

7. Data Retention

Leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely to maintain the historical ranking. You may request deletion of your entry at any time by contacting us. Advertising data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own retention policies.

8. Children's Privacy

The application is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Know what personal data is stored about you.
Request deletion of your leaderboard entry and/or stage progress data.
Opt out of ad personalization via your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through an update in the application. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
